I would actually prefer codes- I like looking them up and learning them. Then I can keep myself amused on car journeys by spotting them on numberplates.

I reckon it'd be reasonably easy to knock up a query to insert all the codes and station names into the forum database to satisfy all. There is a very simply solution. I can change each post manually, so that the three-digit code is removed, and the station name inserted in its place.
