What is the "real life" position with dogs at Parkrun? I ask because there was a runner today using a waist harness with a fixed lead for her spaniel. The help page on the website seems quite clear that the harness itself is not allowed. She is a very experienced (green milestone shirt) runner for which this is her home course. None of the marshalls commented on it (we ran at about the same pace), and when I asked the RD at the end, she seemed to me to not want any trouble, saying that we can't police what people do. I know at least one ED who would strongly disagree with that statement (from a nearby parkrun), but do individual parkuns turn blind eyes to things like this?

I can't recall one where they haven't made the announcement, but I have seen the occasional person running with a harness. A fair few hold the lead in their hand too. No idea what the team's view is at each of the events
