So, did anyone try:

You know, I almost did that route! But I decided that the Waterloo and City line would be a lot more fun.

Re: Return of the evening Z1 - Tuesday 18th August 1830 meet
I think Peter had a route similar at the end with the Edgware Road and GPS runs.
My planned route (which I thought wasn't too bad) was as follows:
NHG to HSK to Bayswater run to Queensway to Liverpool Street to Aldgate run to Aldgate East to Earls Court to Kings Cross St Pancras to Moorgate to Euston to Goodge Street run/bus to Euston Square to Paddington H&C run to Paddington (Bak) to Elephant & Castle to London Bridge to Green Park to Vauxhall.
I however got scuppered very early on, when Queensway station was made exit only due to lift problems. I was told the problem would be sorted out soon, but 20 minutes later I was told the problem would not be fixed and had to abandon back to Bayswater to continue the route via NHG. However luck again wasn't on my side because the Central Line train I was on frm NHG had braking issues so I decided to abort at Bank to start a Bottle.
The Bottle didn't go too well either, I started out on a White City train but at Holborn we were informed it would now be terminating at MARBLE ARCH , this then cost me a perfect Circle line connection at Bayswater (by seconds). A District was just behind it which wasn't the end of the world route wise but the next train I was on, the Piccadilly Line north from Earls Court was taken out of service at Hyde Park Corner and I thought that it just wasn't my night that night so aborted as well.

Re: Return of the evening Z1 - Tuesday 18th August 1830 meet
I had a pretty good day of it, apart from confusion at High Street Kensington, a Tower Hill train and a slow Hammersmith and City driver...
Notting Hill Gate to Bank
to Euston
to Goodge Street
run
Russell Square to Knightsbridge
to Green Park
to Vauxhall
train
Waterloo to London Bridge
to Elephant and Castle
to Paddington
to High Street Kensington
to Earls Court
to Tower Hill
to Aldgate
run
Aldgate East to Paddington
A delay at Baker Street and Edgware Road gave me a slightly worse-than-expected time of 3:09'06".
