Forum Changes

I have today informed Neil (tubeguru) that following a review of the webserver services which I pay for each month, I have decieded to change the services which I receive.

Unfortunately, this affects the Tube Forum as I will no longer be able to host the database which powers the Forum. The Forum has continued to grow and I can no longer justify the personal cost which I am bearing purely to support the Forum.

The change takes place on Sunday 30 May 2010.

I will be discussing with Neil the way forward so that the Forum can continue.

Myself and Tubeguru have had a couple of offers with help for hosting the forum going forward. We will looking into these and will make a further annoucement once a way forward has been confirmed.

I have been asked whether I will pull the plug on the forum if the forums has not been moved by 30 May. As long as we have identified a way forward then I will not turn the forum off - I'm not mean.

There is likely to be a period of downtime while the forum is moved. This is regretful but unavoidable.
